Beat the winter doldrums with a trip to Game Creek. This annual Continental Pheasant Shoot is the perfect cure for the onset of cabin fever. It seems that the January air even makes the birds fly faster. Feel free to join us for a great afternoon which will culminate with a delicious wild game dinner back at the clubhouse. ​High flying pheasants will provide challenging shooting as you work your way through the various shooting blinds positioned around the farm.
Two hunters per blind. Cost is $245 per gun.

Two paying hunters can be accompanied by one junior hunter at no extra charge. Junior hunter must be 14-18 years of age and be properly licensed. After the shoot, we’ll all come back to the clubhouse to...guess what...eat again. A full buffet will be provided and there will be no leftover turkey we promise!

There will also be activity at the wobble trap, a silent auction, raffle, and of course, plenty of food for all. With us that day will be area CF associate executive director Robin Paterson, and board member Mike Sanchez. Mike and his wife Darcy have two children, Miguel and Maya, both of whom have CF. This is an opportunity for the hunting fraternity to make a positive impact.

We hope you had a nice and relaxing summer. As we write this email, the temperature is dropping and there is a crisp excitement in the air with the approaching hunting season. Game Creek will open for a new season on October 1st.

Game Creek now offers a new Gun Dog Development program for those who wish to have hands on assistance with training their bird dog, particularly those in the early stages of development using the Ronnie Smith training methods.

Below are a few key dates to keep on your fall calendar:

• Saturday, October 17th: Shoot for a Cure - Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Continental Pheasant Shoot, Silent Auction, Wobble Trap Competition, and Pig Roast. This is a great chance for the hunting community to have a positive impact as the proceeds will go to research for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. • Friday, November 27th: Thanksgiving Weekend Continental Pheasant Shoot.. Follow up the holiday with some exciting wing shooting action with your family and friends. The shoot will begin at 1:30followed by a full buffet dinner. The cost is $245 per gun, 10 high flying pheasants each hunter. Two paying hunters may be accompanied by a Junior hunter (under 18) in their blind at no extra charge.
• Saturday January 16th: Cabin Fever Pheasant Shoot and Wild Game Dinner. A Classic Game Creek Tradition with high flying pheasants and a delicious wild game feast prepared by chef Jeff Lapp. This one fills up fast, reserve early. Cost is $245 per gun.

As always we can tailor a private shoot or special hunting event for your friends and family. Remember to bring the non-hunting ladies for a tour of the local wineries and vineyards.

​To enhance the enjoyment of your visits to Game Creek we have added a gazebo equipped with a wobble trap at the clubhouse. There will be a small charge for using it. The wobble trap provides various angles of target flight thereby simulating various trajectories of gamebirds in flight. It’s a chance to warm up before the hunt or rebuild your shaken ego afterwards. In either case it’s all for fun.
